This year We are celebrating or 74th Independence day, but it's still fascinating how we went from a British colony to one of the largest democracy in the world.

Mahatma Gandhi wanted to rebuild India from its villages and said farmers and agriculture are the backbones of India but here we are, on an average 38 farmers commit suicide in India, that is one every 32 minutes!

Yes, on 1947 we become independent of any foreign rule, but do you think we are a self-sufficient nation like once we were, In Ancient times India exported more than it imported,

but now we import everything from other nations and we consider 'Indian made' as something cheap, and we happily trust a Chinese product.

Chinese Smartphone Brands in India

India depends on foreign nations for everything from our daily groceries, medicines to that cell phone in your hand.

You Know what India Doesn't even have a home-grown TV brand...

In Our Country, Ninety percent of the wealth and resources are controlled by only hundreds of big houses in India. One of them owes more than 5% of total national GDP, at the same time the average income of rural poor people is less than 32Rs/day.

Indian 50 Rupees Note

As per the World Economic Forum's latest report, At this rate,

‘It will take 7 generations for India’s poor to reach mean income’

Even our Judiciary system is a total mess, the pending cases are running for decades with no justice. Rapes and Crimes everywhere. Even Demonetization couldn't completely eliminate the corrupt!

Recently in Ladak India-china clash 20, of our men died, but still,
the hypocrisy is that we tweeted our hate of china on a Chinese phone in an American platform.

All those Chinese Boycott Hashtags lasted for a few days but the maximum we did was to ban Chinese apps!

They say the Indian army is one of the largest, but we still buy our military equipment and aircraft from France and Russia, we still don't have any defense technology to boast off.

But still, we can be proud of what we achieved with ISRO, Our slow but steadily growing Economy and initiatives like Make in India give us an optimistic look over the future but there are still many problems that are not allowing us to feel independent and free.

Indian Flag

Gandhi once said, "India should be such an independent nation that it will be an example for other nations".
But today's India is a free nation but not an Independent one.
