When we are young our parents thought us that heroes are 'good people' and villains are 'bad guys'. But as we grow up, we realize that's not true when a villain character makes more sense.
We start to understand that good and bad are subjective perspectives.
Meaning, there is no absolute good or bad. There is nothing that is intrinsically good or bad.
But this society made once undesirable qualities such as

Weakness = underdog, goodness, simplicity
Not-able-to-take-revenge = Forgiveness
Submission = obedience, sacrifice
Hero = Good
Villian = bad
When we see beyond this grand illusion you can find that the quality of Villains such as

Cunning
Brilliance
Exuberance
Wealth - these are the things society ought to value, and we should aspire to get but yet we devalue then and brand them as evil qualities!
To end I'm just saying that the difference between good and bad is up to you to decide and maybe villains make more sense because they feel closer to reality than superheroes.

Our understanding of morality is also heavily influenced by the society we live in, our culture, and, more often than not, the "winning side" or dominant force in the world. When we are trained to look at the world in a certain way, our emotional response reflects our worldview.
